Hello everyone.

I am sure you are wondeirng why I am posting dark and somewhat disturbing images named "Protagonist Chronicles". Well, for one, change of style? Change of ideas? It has been years since I drew very dark and gothic stuff in 2002. If you look on my VCL site, you will see what I mean.

Background of Protagonist Chronicles:
As you know, the word Protagonist means "an star actor in a drama story", so, in each image I am putting up, there is a story about that particular chartacter. However, it is just not about one character, but a series of them in different dramatic situations floating around the Gothic and Raver genre. Each character has a short story behind their lives that end for the worse or sometimes for the better. They are like small Horror short stories. I know that I am going into the topic of Goths and Ravers in a fictional way, but I have seen more of this kind of artwork posted on VCL, DA, FA, etc. and decided to join in and get back to why my screen name is "Gothic Kemono". Hehe.

Life in General:
Right now, I am on a week-paid vacation until Saturday. I should be working on my comic book, but I wanted to do a small side project that I wouldn't have time to do durring my busy work week. My birthday was a few days ago and now I am a year older...Not really happy about it, but my mind still remains young. That is all that matters. Throughout the past month, I have been very depressed. By my age, I should be somewhere in my life, trying to make good of my artwork. I have been trying to look for an answer to "Why am I hear and what am I supposted to do?" So far, no answer. My mother is in the same situation with her job and her artwork, so atleast there is someone I can communicate with as well as my other furry friends.

Online stuff:
I have been finding a lot of my artwork has been faved by those who fave hundreds of adult images, many of them dont really come to post artwork, but just to fave. I just find it interesting. I guess whatever anyone likes, they would fave in their domain. I just find it to be like a "Combo Breaker" when I see one's fave list with many adult images, then see mine that is not adult at all in content. heh.

The Orphan Work Bill:
There has been much talk about this bill for years and now it is starting to get more attention. Basically, what this Bill is explaining that " artwork online will not have any copyright protection rights at all. Any who wishes to use the artwork for profit without the artists permission will not get in trouble." So basically, all artists will loose their copyrigths to their work unless it is filed in D.C, which gives the artwork(s) complete protection no matter what. But for those who draw their work and post it online with their signiture and their © info, that is basically the "Poor artists" copyright protection, but it is still affective. This bill is basically a doormat for more art thieves and invites more piracy ( almost giving them the right to steal from artists ). You should go to the link below and vote AGAINST this bill because you want to protect what is yours!

Yes, still going. It is just GETTING there is the problem. I am planning to stay there for maybe one day, just to look around and to see the Drawing Room. It would be good to sit with other artists and draw with them. It is just meeting them will be hard. Any well known artist online will find me about 15 feet away because of my shy and nervous nature. Also, many told me that I should be with a group at this convention, because if I am not with a group of friends, then I would be very lost. So, I dont know who I should be looking for when I go. But still this is my first convention so I will be wondering about here and there.
